Great way to learn about the production of maple syrup. The owner is very friendly!
We visited Hurry Hill during Northwest PA's Maplefest in the spring of 2015. The main showroom was well appointed with an array of Maple flavored treats. The museum is full of artifacts of Maple syrup production over the last 200 years. During the Maplefest, you can ride a hay trailer back to their sugarshack. This was the highlight of the visit. A wood fired boiler is the center piece of the sugarshack. The boiler is attended by an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate syrup maker. Clearly a former teacher, she engaged the group with questions and imparted a great deal of knowledge about the sugaring process. My boys had a wonderful time and we can't wait to visit during next year's Maplefest.
Great place to experience production of maple syrup.
