Yes, the patties they serve you aren't fresh, they're frozen, but they are from their animals. This is a fairly remote property in Edinboro for Christ's sake, they can't have fresh meat every day, when I went in nine times out of ten I was the only person eating there.
If you live in or around Edinboro you should absolutely try it out, if you're driving from out of town you probably shouldn't, unless you're going for their corn maze in October.
Went for the corn maze with our 7 year old. Had an amazing time. Loads of fun, not easy to find all the clues, but that makes it more fun. Snagged some great Buffalo meat and other treats at a great price. Definitely recommend.
Its been a couple years but...
We were not impressed with the petting zoo at all. The buffalo were at a far distance . Didn't stop for food- we were looking for a pumpkin patch.
The gift shop is cute, the eating area is very cozy with a fireplace and things like newspapers and stuff laying around to read while you wait. I remember it being fairly clean and the owner/cook/server incredibly friendly.
This farm in the fall is the best! The pumpkins, corn maze, and petting zoo are great! I wish the maze would have been a little more logical. But, I liked it's difficulty level. :)
We go as a group each year. It's great! They got a heck of a corn maze. We like the maps an mailboxes with tags that you have to find in the maze. Most fun just before, during, an after dark. The only people I wouldn't recommend it to are people that insist on griping about everything like frozen patties and other simple stupid stuff. It's a fun old fashioned place to take the kids.
